Those of you who are concerned about City Pensions: "They" can't just cut your pension. "They" might try to twist your arm to get you to voluntarily switch to another plan, but if that were to happen it would hurt you and in the short term would not help the city. My recommendation to you and the City is to leave things as they are for retirees and vested employees. If they change plans they have to pay both plans, and millions in fees to those servicing the plans. Much ado about nothing, or less than nothing - certainly no savings. That and getting another "meanness" award. |
